Gibson Consolidation in the Abaqus software using the infinite elements
In this example we intend to simulate Gibson consolidation in the Abaqus software using the infinite elements. Actually, we intend to compare Gibson exact solution with the results obtained from the Abaqus software
You should note this point that Gibson consolidation is a two-dimensional consolidation. The purpose of this simulation is to draw a diagram of the consolidation settlement of soil
This question will be done in two steps ; in the first step a pressure loading is applied to the soil , and in the second step the consolidation process will be implemented

In this model, we use infinite elements to propagate the waves out of the model and prevent the return of waves to model
