In this example we intend to simulate trapezoidally corrugated steel shear wall under cyclic loading in the Abaqus software

As you observe in the picture, this Model is composed of corrugated plate, top beam, bottom beam, column and stiffener

In this question, a cyclic loading is applied to the top of the model and following that it’s hysteresis diagram will be drawn

In this picture, the hysteresis diagram gained from the Abaqus software has been compared with the experimental results

This problem consists of two parts: 1- buckling analysis 2- hysteresis analysis

First, buckling analysis is performed and buckling modes are extracted. Then, the initial imperfection is defined using buckling modes

In these pictures, deformation of the steel plate shear wall undergoing the cyclic loading can be observed
