Project Overview
In this example, we simulate the tube hydroforming process using the Abaqus software. The tube is made of Copper and has a thickness of 1.03 mm.
The model consists of a tube, die, and rigid parts. The rigid parts are positioned at both ends of the tube and are used to deform the tube during the hydroforming process.

Tube Hydroforming Process
At the beginning of the process, the tube is placed inside the die. Fluid is then injected into the tube, creating internal pressure.
Following the injection of the fluid, the rigid parts located at both ends of the tube start moving inward. This movement, together with the internal fluid pressure, causes significant deformation of the tube and allows it to conform to the shape of the die.

As the hydroforming process progresses, the tube undergoes substantial deformation under the combined effect of the internal fluid pressure and the inward movement of the rigid parts.
The deformation of the tube before and after the hydroforming process can be investigated using the Abaqus results.
