In this example, we intend to simulate double-corrugated steel plate shear wall under cyclic loading in the Abaqus software
In this problem , two corrugated plates have been connected together by the bolts and you can observe that in the right picture
In this problem, a cyclic loading will be applied to the top of the shear wall and then its hysteresis diagram will be drawn
This problem consists of two parts: 1- buckling analysis 2- hysteresis analysis
First, buckling analysis is performed and buckling modes are extracted. Then, the initial imperfection is defined using buckling modes
As it’s clear in this picture , the beam and column have been connected together by hinges
In this picture, deformation of the steel shear wall under a cyclic loading can be observed
In this picture, the hysteresis diagram obtained from the Abaqus software has been compared with the laboratory results
