Project Overview
In this Abaqus project, the vibration of a piezoelectric material
under a sinusoidal voltage is simulated and
investigated.
A sinusoidal electric voltage is applied to the piezoelectric
material, and the resulting deformation and vibration are
evaluated using Abaqus.

PZT4 Piezoelectric Material
The piezoelectric material used in this model is
PZT4. The piezoelectric component has a length
of 5 cm, a width of 1 cm, and
a height of 1 cm.
The required material properties of PZT4 are defined in Abaqus
to simulate the coupled electrical and mechanical response of
the piezoelectric material.
Application of Sinusoidal Voltage
A sinusoidal voltage is applied to the
piezoelectric material. The applied electric potential changes
continuously with time, generating a time-dependent electric
field inside the piezoelectric.

Piezoelectric Vibration
When the sinusoidal voltage is applied, the resulting electric
field causes the piezoelectric material to deform.
Because the applied voltage varies with time, the deformation
also changes continuously, causing the piezoelectric material
to vibrate.
