In this example we intend to simulate Terzaghi consolidation in the Abaqus software. Actually, we intend to compare Terzaghi exact solution with the results obtained from the Abaqus software

You should note this point that Terzaghi consolidation is a one-dimensional consolidation. The purpose of this simulation is to draw a diagram of the consolidation settlement of soil ,pore pressure , vertical stress

This question will be done in two steps ; in the first step a pressure loading is applied to the soil , and in the second step the consolidation process will be implemented
