Cyclic performance of bolted end-plate RWS connection with vertical slits Abaqus
In this example we intend to simulate the hysteresis analysis of bolted end plate RWS connection with vertical slits in the Abaqus software
As you observe in the picture, this Model is composed of beam, column, end plate , bolt, continuity plate , web plates and stiffener
In this question, beam has been connected to end plate using weld , and end plate has been connected to the column by 8 bolts
As you observe in this picture, 4 slits have been created on the beam web
In this question, a cyclic loading is applied to the beam and following that it’s hysteresis diagram will be drawn
In this picture, the hysteresis diagram gained from the Abaqus software has been compared with the experimental results
In this picture, deformation of the Model undergoing the cyclic loading can be observed
