GTAW (Gas tungsten arc welding) or TIG (tungsten inert gas) using Dflux subroutine in Abaqus
In this example , we intend to simulate GTAW (Gas tungsten arc welding) or TIG (tungsten inert gas) process in Abaqus software
In this question, initially the first welding pass is implemented and after that the pipe undergoes cooling process , then the second welding pass is done and finally the cooling process is implemented
We use Goldak’s double- ellipsoid Model in order to define the Heat Flux and here Dflux subroutine is utilized for defining the Goldak’s double- ellipsoid Model
The pipe is made of SUS304
In this picture , you can see temperature during second welding pass on weld line
This project has been validated, which means that the results obtained from Abaqus software are similar to the results of the article. In other words, this project is based on the article
