Interaction between the soil , foundation and a six-storey building undergo the dead and live loads Abaqus

In this example we intend to simulate the interaction between the soil , foundation and a six-storey building in the Abaqus software. This model is composed of soil , foundation and a six-storey building and this six-storey building will undergo the dead and live loads. The length of soil is 100 m , it’s width is 70 m and is 20 m high. Here Mohr-coloumb plasticity model has been used and in order to define the plasticity properties of the soil

As you observe in this picture, the length of foundation is 20 m and it’s width is 14 m , and the foundation is made of concrete. The six-storey building is 18 m high

This building is composed of 5 spans directed at y axis and 3 spans directed at x axis . The building is 18 m high, comprising of six storeys and the height of each storey is 3 m

In the Abaqus software , the dead and live loads are applied to the beams and distribution of the dead and live loads to the beams has been applied based on different spans
