In this tutorial , we simulate 2D fatigue in Abaqus software by using Paris law

A plate with a circular hole is studied. The specimen has a length of 0.34 m, a thickness of 0.02 m, a width of 0.2 m, and a hole radius of 0.02 m

In the low-cycle fatigue analysis, two steps are involved. A static step is used to nucleate a crack at the site of stress concentration prior to the low-cycle fatigue direct cyclic step, in which a cyclic distributed loading with a peak value of 350 KPa is specified

Equal and opposite loading are applied at both ends in the longitudinal direction

In this example , we use Direct cyclic analysis and analyze 1000 cycles

crack propagation in 547 cycle

crack propagation in 841 cycle

crack propagation in 1000 cycle

In this example ,we should edit input file and add code, we use *Fracture criterion and *Surface behavior codes
