Simulation Laser forming using Dflux subroutine Abaqus
In this example , we intend to simulate Laser forming using Dflux subroutine in Abaqus software
The energy input due to the laser beam is considered as a surface heat flux with Gaussian energy distribution, in other words, Laser beam heat source is considered as Gaussian heat source
Dflux subroutine is used to define nonuniform heat flux
The laser beam moves at the speed of 10 mm/second in Y direction and causes the sheet to be deformed and bended
This problem is done in two steps
In step1 , we define laser scanning path with duration of 60 seconds
In step2 , we simulate cooling process with duration of 180 seconds
To do so , we define two Coupled temp-displacement step
The material of the plate is ST37
Thermal conductivity, specific heat, thermal expansion, elastic properties and plastic properties depend on the temperature
The power of Laser Beam is 100 Watt
The bending angle is 9.1 degrees
