In this example, we intend to simulate a
bare frame under cyclic loading
in the Abaqus software.

Model Description
As you observe in the picture, this model is composed of
beam, column, stiffener, box, and connecting plate.
The numerical model has been developed according to the configuration
reported in the reference article in order to investigate the cyclic
behavior of the bare frame.

In this analysis, a
cyclic loading is applied to the top of the model.
The cyclic loading amplitude is defined in Abaqus according to the
loading protocol used in the reference study.
