In this example , we simulate seepage (The flow of water through soils) and we draw flow lines and equipotential lines with Abaqus software

We simulate seepage in soil that there is under the concrete dam and then we draw flow net

(The dam has a 60-m-wide base and The dam is underlain by a 90-m-thick soil with k = 0.03 cm/s (isotropic

The water in the reservoir is 12 m high

The bottom surface of the concrete dam is an impermeable boundary condition

The element used in this analysis is a plane-strain coupled pore fluid element
